Mountains and Seas is a musical based on the eponymous script by Gao Xingjian, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature. The musical is mainly produced by the faculty of the Graduate Institute of Performing Arts and Bachelor Degree Program of Performing Arts of National Taiwan Normal University, with music and lyrics by Chris Babida and Le-Rong Chen. The performance also features alumni, graduate and undergraduate students, interpreting ancient legends while presenting mythological characters, emotions and conflicts through rock music.
